Leo Vas is born from two worlds.

The first is Leontio, a small village in the Nemea region of Greece, where my family is from. A place shaped by vineyards, craftsmanship, and the enduring spirit of the Nemean Lion from Greek mythology. The name Leo honors both Leontio and the lion itselF, a symbol of strength and resilience.

Vas comes from my grandfather, Vasilios, representing family, heritage, and the generations that came before us.

The second world is Gujarat, India, where my wife is from. Every Leo Vas garment is handcrafted there by master artisans whose knowledge has been passed down through generations. Their work brings an authenticity that can only exist through human hands.

Rather than blending cultures for novelty, we allow them to exist in conversation. Mediterranean silhouettes and relaxed elegance meet Indian craftsmanship, weaving, embroidery, and textile traditions. Neither overpowers the other, they elevate one another.

As an architect, I have always believed that architecture and clothing ask the same question: How should we live? That philosophy shapes every collection through honest materials, timeless proportions, organic forms, and an appreciation for objects made to endure.

We celebrate the handmade because it refuses perfection. No two garments are ever exactly alike, and those subtle variations are not flaws—they are the signature of the artisan who made them.

Though our story stretches from Greece to India, it finds its home in Nashville. This city raised me, and it is where Shivani and I chose to build Leo Vas—a fashion house rooted in craftsmanship, culture, and community.

Leo Vas is more than clothing. It is a way of living that values permanence over trends, craftsmanship over speed, and stories over possessions. Every piece carries the memory of the hands that made it and the cultures that inspired it.
